The intermediate division is a continuation of the Junior program where players can work on developing their skills. Players will have the opportunity to work in games situations as well as working on more advanced techniques of sledge hockey. The Intermediate teams has an opportunity to compete against other Edmonton Minor Hockey teams www.emha.ca,  and other sledge hockey teams (  Edmonton Impact at  www3.telus.net/eshc/news.html  , Calgary Scorpions Sledge Hockey Club www.calgarysledgehockey.ca/, Red Deer Rage and Battle River Icehawks) throughout the season. Coaches provide instructions and drills for the players to further develop as a Sledge Hockey Player. Full equipment is reguired for this division. Sledges and sticks are provided.

PROGRAM RUNS:

Tuesdays at Donnan Arena (9104-80 Ave)
Tuesday from 8:00 – 9:30 pm
September 21 – December 14, 2010 
January 4– March 29, 2011

REGISTRATION FEE:

$180 or 3 Bingos, plus 2 mandatory bingos

REQUIRED EQUIPMENT:

• CSA approved hockey helmet with full cage
• Shoulder pads
• Elbow pads
• Neck guard
• Hockey gloves
• Shin guards

We will provide every new player with their first pair of sledge sticks and a sledge. The sticks are your own but the sledge is in the ownership of PSA although you are required to take it home after every practice. You may use the sledge until you no longer playing sledge with PSA and then you must return it to PSA.

We will also give you a PSA jersey in dark and light that you will have to return at the end of the year, every year, so we can take inventory.

TRAVEL & ELITE COMPETITION

The PSA Sledge Teams have travelled to Ontario tp Particapate in the London Blizzard Sledge Hockey Tournament  www.londonblizzard.com/tournament.html in the past and are currently fundraising for their next trip. If you  would like to sponsor the Sledge Player please contact the PSA office.
