PSA's Swim Club has been working to improve swimming skills of children with disabilities for a number of years. Our swimming program is specially designed to meet the varying needs and goals of our members while providing small group and one on one assistance. Due to increased enrollment in the past few years we have expanded our program this year to include two pool times!
Novice Swim Program - For those who are new or still developing their basic swimming skills. Skills will be taught through games and fantastic swimming instruction.
Intermediate Swim Program - For the more skilled swimmers. The focus will be on stroke and skill improvement and setting goals.
Three Certified Instructors work with the swimmers to provide individualized instruction. Swimmers are further paired with a volunteer to offer one-on-one assistance (when necessary) in addition to instruction. Swimmers are able to progress through and earn theri AqueQuest Badges and Red Cross Swimming Levels.
