From any view… it’s HOCKEY!
Sledge Hockey is an innovative team sport that incorporates the same rules and discipline structure as ‘stand up’ regular ice hockey. Sledge Hockey players sit on specially designed sleds with skate blades under the seat and use two sticks, not only to pass, stick-handle and shoot the puck, but also to propel and maneuver their sleds down the ice. Sledge Hockey part of HOCKEY CANADA, HOCKEY ALBERTA and E.M.H.A.
Sledge Hockey is fast paced, exciting sport, which is gaining popularity in Edmonton and Alberta. Sledges and sticks are provided for programs, as well as some hockey equipment for those who do not have their own. Anyone who has a love for ice hockey should try this exciting sport!
