A "sledge" is a custom designed sled, similar to a toboggan,
which is mounted on skate blades. Two sticks, with picks
on one end, are carried by the participant and used for
mobility on the ice surface. The other end of the stick is
a hockey blade and is used for puck handling, passing
and shooting in sledge hockey.

Sledge Hockey is a very exciting sport which is gaining popularity in Edmonton. Sledges and sticks are provided for programs, as well as some hockey equipment for those who do not have their own. Anyone who has a love for ice hockey should try this exciting sport!

PSA offers the following sledge hockey programs.
