Spring/Summer Program Guide
Outdoor Soccer
Outdoor Soccer Program: Do you have a child that is interested in soccer? If so the PSA is thrilled to offer the outdoor soccer program. The instructor will provide a step by step approach that will help build confidence and self-esteem and makes sports fun!!! This program helps kids have a positive sports experience, along with assisting in developing basic motor skills and works on those muscles. The Soccer program can include individuals with Cerebral Palsy, Developmental/Global Delay or a similar disability. The program is held weekly and allows the children the opportunity to work on their soccer skills, play games, and just have fun.
Program Runs:
Thursday from: 5-12 yrs old: 6:30 – 7:30 pm
13-25 yrs old: 7:30 - 8:30 pm

Registration Fee:
$40 or 1 Bingo
Roller Inter-Crosse SAMPLER
PSA and the Alberta Lacrosse Association are partnering together to create a brand new sport combining roller sledge hockey and Inter-Crosse (a form of lacrosse that involves no contact and has a stick with a barrier in the netting to prevent the ball from popping out as easily). The participants will use roller sledges while learning inter-crosse techniques.
The program will run for 4 weeks to begin with and we will have 2 qualified instructors and a few volunteers teaching the class this new, unique sport!
Date: May TBA — June TBA (excluding May 24th)
Time: 6:00 to 7:00 PM
Location: Grand Trunk Arena (13025-112 Street NW)
Registration Fee: $TBD
Equipment: ice helmet with full cage, hockey gloves & elbow pads
Awards Banquet & Family Dance
Get your Dancing shoes on!!!! Join us for PSA's 46th Awards Banquet! Each year the PSA hosts this annual event to honour our members and volunteers. This as always a great way to end the year and a good chance to recognize our many volunteers and dedicated participants.
Program Runs:
Saturday, May 14th, 2011: Doors open at 4:00 pm, Dinner at 5:30 pm, Awards at 6:30 pm and Dance at 8:00 pm-10:30 pm
Location: Continental Inn (16625 Stony Plain Road NW)
Cost: Individual Member -$10.00 Individual;Non-member - $15.00; Family [Members] - $45.00; Family (non-members) - $50.00
Summer Camps
If you didn’t get a chance to participate in the summer camps last year, it is a great opportunity for all ages to get out and have some fun with your friends. Each camp is specifically designed for a different age group.
All camps are run by well-trained staff that works together to provide the best learning environment for participants and ensure that fun is had by all! Minimal physical assistance will be available (i.e. transfers). If an individual requires more care, it is recommended that they bring an attendant. There is no additional cost for the attendant.

2011 One For All Adapted Summer Day Camps in Edmonton

All summer camps (except camp #3) will be held at Grant MacEwan City Centre Campus (10700-104 Avenue) in Edmonton and cost $100 or you have the option of working 2 Bingos to pay for the fee. Please call or email Tara Chisholm to register at [email protected] .
Camp #1: Lights, Camera, ACTION! (13-18 yrs old [teen camp]) July 4 - 8 from 9 am - 4 pm
· Do people call you creative? If so, this camp is for you! We will learn new songs, dances, and even create our own artwork!
 
Camp #2: X-treme Action Camp (6-12 yrs old [sports camp]) July 11 - 15 from 9 am - 4 pm
· Are you a bit of a risk-taker? Well then come join us as we swim, climb and pedal our way through this X-treme week
  
Camp #3: Sledge Hockey Development Camp @ NAIT [11762-106 St.] (sledge hockey players only) July 18 - 22 from 9 am - 4 pm
· If your favorite sport is sledge hockey you cannot miss this opportunity to hang out with your teammates and improve individually and together as a team

Camp #4: The Sports World (13-18 yrs old [sports camp]) July 25 - 29 from 9 am - 4 pm
· This week we are going to learn about different countries and their national sports! So pack your suitcase and get ready to explore and play!
Camp #5: Fun in the Sun! (6-12 yrs old [sports camp]) August 2 - 5 from 9 am - 4 pm
· Sunshine, friends, laughter and FUN is what this camp is all about. We will be warming ourselves up with a variety of summertime sports and games.
Camp #6: Places to go, People to See (adults) August 8 - 12 from 10 am - 4 pm
· This camp is all about being with friends and enjoying what our city has to offer. We will go on a variety of outings that include art, music, dance, and of course, FUN!
Camp #7: Paralympic Prospects (13-18 yrs old [sports camp]) August 15 - 19 from 9 am - 4 pm
· Is your dream to one day win a gold medal for Team Canada? This camp will show you a variety of sports that the Paralympic athletes compete in and help you to see what it takes to be a Paralympian!
Camp #8: Time Travelers (11-18 yrs old) August 22 - 26 from 9 am - 4 pm
· Dinosaurs, disco balls and space ships are what you can look forward to in this camp. Throughout the week we will be going forwards AND backwards in time with a variety of different activities and games!
Come out and spend time with fun, energetic staff, old friends and new friends…and ME!
