Red Deer Sledge Hockey
Sledge Hockey is an adapted form of stand-up hockey played by the same rules. Players sit in a sledge and use two sticks to maneuver themselves and handle the puck. Volunteers will help the coach with running drills on ice, rounding up pucks, pushing players, assisting players off-ice with equipment or getting into/out of their sledge. No experience with sledge hockey or working with people with disabilities is required. An interest in hockey or skating would be an asset.
